Nite Ize - CamJam® XT Aluminum Cord Tightener - Black - NCJSA-01-R3

An aluminum cord tightener from Nite Ize that combines a carabiner with a rotating cam mechanism in a single tool. Unlike the plastic version of the CamJam, the XT model is made of cast aluminum. This results in a working load limit of 280 lb / 127 kg, which is significantly higher than that of the plastic version.

The carabiner at one end of the clamp attaches to any anchor point, hook, D-ring, or loop, and a cord with a diameter of 2 to 5 mm is pulled through the cam mechanism and tightened to the desired tension. The cam locks automatically under load and remains locked until intentionally released by rotating the lever.

The carabiner supports two attachment configurations. The Fixed End system, where the carabiner is anchored to a fixed point and the free end of the cord is pulled through the cam, and the Loop system, where a loop of the cord is clipped into the carabiner and the other end is pulled through the cam, allowing for circular lashing of loads.

The buckle is designed for securing, tensioning, and securing heavy loads during equipment transport, camping, tarp setup, and any other situation requiring a secure and adjustable rope attachment without tying knots.
