The #3 carabiner is a lightweight aluminum carabiner with an innovative locking mechanism, manufactured by Nite Ize. It features a slim, rectangular body with a cross-sectional design that replaces the traditional thick tubular construction. This allows the carabiner to pass more easily through small holes, lie flat in a pocket, and avoid creating unnecessary slack on the webbing.

The carabiner body is made of solid aluminum, and the gate is made of stainless steel equipped with a plastic SlideLock® mechanism. The carabiner closes with a single motion: simply press the gate and slide the lock. Unlocking the gate is just as simple. This design eliminates the risk of accidental opening and loss of suspended items, while requiring no tools or two hands.
