An elastic cord with multifunctional use when dressing your gear from Nite Ize. The practicality of the Gear Tie is based on a simple construction made with highly durable materials. The primary function of the tie is to bind individual pieces of gear, for example, loose cables or to secure a thermal cup or thermos on a backpack.

The tie consists of three components - a metal core, a polymer coating and ends. The wire routed inside the trope is responsible for maintaining the set shape, while the weather-resistant polymer coating allows the item to be wrapped securely around it. The Twist Tie™ is designed to help you wrap your equipment, and when you're done, be restored to its original state for reuse.

The polymer used is similar in its characteristics to rubber, which makes it have an extremely high grip. In addition, other useful items can be made from the trocars, limited only by the user's imagination. An interesting example of use could be a handle for carrying several objects at once like wooden beams or sleeping bags.
